SCOTT riders sweep podium at Engadinsnow Freeride
Corvatsch, Switzerland February 19, 2008 - The Engadinsnow is one of Europe’s renowned freeride competitions, held in the snowy Alps of Switzerland. Every year the world's best freeriders gather to challenge the north face of the Corvatsch mountain. A 200 meter long cable cam drops competitors off at the peak of the mountain at 3127 meters above sea level. After that, the riders face a tricky mountain with a vertical drop of 547 meters and an incline between 45° and 60°. It's quite a show for spectators and the media.
This year, Engadinsnow had to be postponed from January to February, as snow conditions didn’t allow holding the comp on the original date. After some snowfall in late January, riders enjoyed some good powder and bright, bluebird skies for the competition on Monday. The riders were stoked to have such good conditions and put down some clean, fast, spectacular runs.
SCOTT freeskiier Stefan Häusl from Austria came back big from his crash at the Nissan Freemountain Tour in Schruns to win the Engadinsnow in front of Sweden's Andreas Fransson. Third place went to Matthias Haunholer and fourth place to Andreas Kocher, both riding for SCOTT.

Congratulations to all of the riders flying the SCOTT flag and doing a great job. Next up will be the Big Air competition on Wednesday. We wish our riders Roy Kittler, Patrick Hollaus, and Andri and Elias Ambühl good luck in the comp.
