1-6 September the worlds best mountain biking ‘engines’ are in Stromlo Forest Park, Canberra, Australia.A week full of breathtaking speed, hardcore endurance, finish line battles and nerve wrecking balancing acts as this years World Champions are to be crowned in Australia’s biggest Mountain Biking event of the year.
A non-stop action with a week packed of adrenaline pumping activities, on and off the tracks is promised.

The Scott-Swisspower team has settled in well in Down Under. While in Canberra it is currently end of winter, the temperatures are just between 10 ° -18 °, luckily for the coming days good weather is announced. The track is absolutely deserving of a world championship.
Nino Schurter: "I like this circuit very much and for me it is an advantage. The first half is technically challenging with many tight turns and requires with two drops a little courage. The second part is then fairly quickly in sandy soil with lots of banked turns. You have to be a complete driver being a factor front and center on this track!”
On Thursday, Roger goes into the woods in the junior race. On Saturday at 14:00 local time Florian Vogel and Nino Schurter will fight for the medals.

A year after winning the bronze medal at the Beijing Olympics, Nino Schurter auctions his Olympic frame for a good cause.
