The IMP built Spark sets the world standard for a lightweight, race ready, full suspension bike. Boasting 110 mm of rear travel, the Spark is ideally suited to cross country, marathons, multi-day stage races, and all day fun. The DT Nude shock allows the rider three separate travel settings that can be accessed via a handlebar mounted TWINLOC lever. The rider can choose from 110 mm of travel, 80 mm of travel in the Traction mode, or full lock out front and rear.
New TwinLoc technology
The all new TwinLoc lever allows the rider to keep both hands on the handlebars while selecting the desired travel settings or fully locking the
suspension.

Lightweight
Weighing under four pounds (1790 grams / 3.95 lbs) for frame and shock, and boasting 110 mm of rear travel, the Spark is ideally suited to cross country, marathons.
-
Twinloc Lever System
Our patented TwinLoc technology now offers simultaneous control of rear shock travel and fork lockout. The open position allows full travel, front and rear. One click switches the rear shock to Traction mode, while the fork remains fully active. Click again and rear shock and fork lock at the same time. No other bike in the world offers this user friendly system.
-
NUDE TC™ Shock
Our suspension engineers combined years of experience, a deep patent portfolio and Swiss precision fabrication to create the ultimate rear shock.
- Weighs a feathery 240g
- External air reservoir for the increased air volume necessary for traction control
- Swiss precision CNC machined and hand assembled producing a high quality and durable shock
- Rebound control
- TC lever at your fingertips provides on the fly transitions between Lockout, Traction Control (70 mm), and All Travel modes (110 mm) -
IMP - Integrated Molding Process
Our engineers have developed IMP™, the newest technology applied to carbon frame production. The toptube, headtube and downtube are produced in a single step using a top-secret process. Our proprietary process allows for lighter construction by removing 11% of the material from the head tube intersection while increasing strength by utilizing high modular HMF composite fiber in conjunction with the brand new HMX composite fiber that our engineers developed solely for our use. The result of this exclusive combination is a truly unique weight/stiffness ratio. To compliment IMP™, our Spark frames benefit from Naked External Tubeset (NET) technology, which eliminates the cosmetic carbon layer to shave precious grams.
-
HMX-NET Carbon Fiber
While we already use the proven HMF composite fiber on all our composite high-end bike models, we have improved upon conventional HMF material. This new fiber, which is produced exclusively for Scott, offers 20% more stiffness and is employed on all the areas that need additional rigidity. This new material also allows us to reduce weight and improve riding characteristics. NET stands for Naked External Tubeset, in which the frame sheds its exterior cosmetic layer, saving even more weight.
-
SCDS SCOTT Carbon Dropout System
SCDS uses a carbon fiber dropout with a replaceable alloy hanger. A lightweight, precise and durable alloy disc brake mount improves heat distribution while braking. Carbon chainstays with integrated carbon dropout shave additional grams from the complete bike.
-
Integrated Seatpost
The Spark RC frameset features an integrated seat tube to shave approx. 100 grams off the complete bike. Spark models are available with non-integrated seatposts as well.
