Frech Frédérick wins Cristalp

Once you have been there, you will want to come back again and again. With lots of elevation gain and the reputation of being one of the best races on earth, each year thousands of riders are lured to the Grand Raid Cristalp. For the 16th edition of the Grand Raid Cristalp, 4000 elite and amateur riders lined up for the start in La Tzoumaz. Riders can choose if they want to go for the short race (75 km long/2879m elevation gain) or the long version (131 km long/4864m elevation gain). But for all, one thing is for sure: they have to climb the legendary pass, the “Pas de Lona”.
In the Elite men's category, Frech Frédéric of the Swiss Alliance team won the long distance this year with a time of 6 hours 47 Minutes and 13 seconds. Finishing second was Pascal Cattin, followed by Pascal Corti from the Seppey Scott Team.
