Fast, faster, Scott team riders..
iXS DH-Cup, XC European Championships, Downieville Classic, Swiss Bike Master Freeride, Ironman Roth. These are the events the Scott team riders were competing on the last weekend, successful.
First of all the Scott11 team riders got all of the “Scott medals”. At the iXS European DH-Cup in Leogang Austria, European Champion Nick Beer didn’t hesitate to attack full gas and got in return to this effort the gold medal. Inspired by Nick, Aari Barrett was competing fast in the same way in the junior’s category and finished on first place too. Last but not least Scott11’s lady and Swiss Champion Emilie Siegenthaler did it the same way almost, 3rd place. All in all, therefore the podiums were mainly dominated by red color jerseys by Scott11 riders – yeah.

At the XC European Championships in Zoetermeer Netherland, the riders were fighting on muddy terrain and bad weather conditions against each other, while the Swiss racers were dominating the race completely. Ralph Näf was the guy who finished the race as new European Champion. Martin Gujan, Lukas Flückiger and Florian Vogel finished on 4th, 5th and 7th place, even Florian did have braking problems after the first half of the race. Nino Schurter unfortunately already quit the race early because of a broken breaking lever. Watch out to the next World Cup race at Mont-Saint-Anne, Canada.

During the same weekend Marcel Wildhaber - son of Scott-Swisspower team mechanic Erwin Wildhaber - switched from his Spark racing bike to the All Mountain weapon Ransom, and finally won the Swiss Bike Master Freeride in Küblis, Switzerland.
Also team manager Thomas Frischknecht and his son Andri didn’t resist staying away from racing during the weekend. At the Downieville Classic, California, Andri got the All Mountain World Champion title in junior category. Still able to compete fast Frischi hit the 6th place at the Cross Country race, 12th in Downhill and finally finished on 7th place overall. Since the bike has to be the same for both races Frischi trust into the Genius, lightweight and lots of travel combined.

Moving from Offroad to Onroad segment. Normann Stadler competed on the same weekend at Ironman Roth, Germany. So far he started well the race. After swimming Norman did an incredible effort on the Plasma2 and set the time at 4:14:42, this result in the fastest bike split at yesterday’s race in Roth, just faaaast! Unfortunately he was not able to keep the pace on the running split, was fighting against cramps and lost valuable time therefore. Anyway Norman finished the race on great 4th place by a time of 8:03:43, less than 8 minutes behind the winner Michael Göhner.
