MX3 GP: Title for Demaria, victory for Ristori

Demaria wins MX3 world title in ROGGENBURG (Switzerland)

Under a sunny sky, the last race of the MX3 World Championship in Roggenburg was important for two SCOTT riders, Yves Demaria and Marc Ristori. Demaria finally grasped the World Title of the MX3 series which he lost in 2005 and snatched number one from teammate Breugelmans, winner of the MX3 Motocross World Championship last year.

SCOTT team rider Marc Ristori also had a superb day on his home track, winning both motos and securing his fourth place in the World Championship standings right in front of his home fans!

Sven Breugelmans lost the title and finished the 2006 season with second place in the MX3 World Championship standings. He was second also in the overall classification of the Grand Prix: the Belgian grasped two second place finishes in the last 2 heats of the season. Czech Martin Zerava was third on his Honda and right behind him was new World Champion Yves Demaria. Yves finished the first moto in third place and was fifth in the second one.
