Scott athletes dominate at Scott GP of Sweden
This past weekend marked the first round of the Maxxis FIM World Enduro Championship in Ostersund, Sweden. Coined the Scott GP of Sweden, the event offered drastic weather conditions and proved to be one of the toughest rounds the riders will see this season. Saturday served up warm temperatures and deep ruts. Sunday, on the other hand, invited the snow, which fell nonstop throughout the cold day. Most of the riders were not used to the conditions, which left the door open for the Swedish and Finnish competitors, who were far more acclimated.

By the time the GP concluded on Sunday, Scott athletes had staked their claim to most of the podium spots. The 2006 U.S. GNCC Champion and Factory KTM/Farioli rider, Juha Salminen, kept up his winning ways by taking first place in the E1 Class both days. Fellow KTM and Scott rider, Marko Tarkkala, followed suit by winning both Saturday and Sunday in the E3 Class. Samuli Aro, also of KTM/Farioli and Scott, won the E2 Class with a first place on Saturday and a second place on Sunday.

Scott congratulates all of its riders on their dominance in the opening round of the Maxxis FIM World Enduro Championship.
