Wolfgang Teuchner (Team ERDINGER) did the second best bike split (4:16:01) at the Quelle Challenge Roth IRONMAN Race. The young athlete from Munich hammering his SCOTT PLASMA2 and catching one after the other. The “proven bike-specialist” went out of Transition 2 on the second place. But couldn’t stay on this position for a long time.

After two kilometers of running the fun was already over: "I had severe back pain after cycling, but I can’t explain why. It was not because of my position; the PLASMA is a great bike. Let’s say the first five to ten kilometers. I'm not a good runner anyway, but because of the pain I was naturally slow. But on the other side I am very happy with my perfect bike-split!” Teuchner made himself no illusions, keeping up the ranking to the end of the race.
Finishing 12th with personal best of 8:23:17 seems not too bad. Wolfgang and Scott Sports can look forward to a bright future.

With no doubt the PLASMA2 is the fastest timetrial bike in long distance races. Last year Ain-Alar Juhanson had the fastest 2008 bike split in Kona/ HAWAII.
