Stop #2 of Siver Young Guns: Joe Schuster and Sasha Chernen

Despite some of the worst weather I've ever had to endure for 12 hours on a ski hill, the second stop on the Young Guns Open tour at Mount Seymour, B.C., actually went off.

Thanks to Mike Nick and the rest of the Siver crew, Jason Levinthal from Line, Level, and Scott USA, and most of all the athletes, who battled through a ton of snow, gusty winds, and even some death-fog, which showed up just in time for the finals.

In a very strong women’s field, Sasha Chernenkoff edged out Maude Raymond and Emily Higgins for the win. Props to the girls for throwing down, it was one of the more impressive shows on the female side of the sport that I've witnessed.

For the boys it came down to a heated discussion among the judges, which in addition to the team managers included athletes Zach Davison and Justin Dorey. Coming out on top was Joe Schuster, who skied really consistently all day long. Colby Trudell earned second spot and in another close race, Chris Eggleston was third.
